Includes firewall, web filtering, antivirus, antispam and antispyware

Solutionary, a provider of information security services, and SHI International (SHI), a provider of information technology products and services, have introduced a new suite of managed and monitored security offerings for small to midsized businesses.

The new ActiveGuard UTM (Unified Threat Management) Complete suite is backed by SHI's IT hardware and includes firewall, VPN, IDS-IPS, web filtering, antivirus, antispam and antispyware.

The company said that the new offering provides ongoing 24x7 log monitoring and management with Solutionary's ActiveGuard Security and Compliance platform.

Solutionary's platform provides scanning, monitoring, management and correlation of data, and includes managed security services delivered via cloud computing or software-as-a-service (SaaS).

The status and results are displayed in easy-to-read dashboards via the ActiveGuard portal, which is available to the client's IT and security teams.

In addition, the offerings supports compliance requirements as PCI DSS, with the full suite of security services and detailed compliance reporting.

The new security offering also supports large, enterprise organisations seeking to address compliance requirements at branch locations.

SHI enterprise offerings services group head and chief technologist Henry Fastert said that the companies information security and risk management practice is focused on offering cost effective offerings that secure all industries from retail to medical clinics.

"With our years of experience servicing the mid-sized market, and Solutionary's efficient managed security offerings, we are confident that businesses will experience an immediate ROI with the addition of the new security program," Fastert added.

"The full range of services not only protects against network attacks, it also protects against internal attacks and unauthorised access or activities."
