Sipera introduces new UC security offering

CBR Staff Writer Published 10 September 2010

Provides application-layer security for unified communications

Sipera Systems, a provider of real-time unified communications (UC) enablement and security, has introduced UC-Sec offering, a new UC security solution.

Sipera said that UC-Sec's 'borderless UC' architecture enables all communications to be encrypted and compliant on any UC device, at any internal and external location.

The new UC-Sec terminates SIP trunks on enterprise premises, extends UC applications securely to any device in any location over any network, and provides application-layer security for UC, including VoIP, video, messaging and collaboration tools, in a single platform.

In addition, the new offering provides enterprise core network security, including IP PBX protection, VLAN separation, and compliance enforcement, including forking of signaling and media for monitoring and recording.

Sipera president and CEO John Lochow said that critical certification reflects the company's its commitment to provide unparalleled security for government and other security-conscious customers around the world.
