Norton adds new security services

CBR Staff Writer Published 16 February 2012

Norton One offers coverage across PCs, Macs, and Android phones and tablets, says Symantec

Norton by Symantec has introduced new security services, which include Norton One, Norton 360 Everywhere and Norton 360 version 6.0.

Norton One is a premium service that allows consumers to buy and manage their security software via a cloud-based management console, said Symantec.

Norton One offers coverage across PCs, Macs and Android phones and tablets with a single account ID and activation key for safe management and Web access.

The new security service uses cloud-based technologies to interact, update and manage protection across multiple devices and allows consumers to add and remove devices, change software, transfer coverage from one device to the next and renew all devices at the same time.

The company also launched Norton 360 Everywhere and Norton 360 version 6.0. The extended portfolio will meet a variety of consumer needs for security, backup, mobile and services, the company added.

Norton 360 Everywhere allows the user to protect their PCs, Macs, Android-based phones and tablets, right out of the box, while Norton 360 version 6.0 offers PC protection and performance.
