FaceTime introduces security management and compliance offering

CBR Staff Writer Published 18 August 2010

Provides granular control for social networks

FaceTime Communications has introduced Socialite, a security management and compliance offering that provides granular control of applications like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

The company said that its new offering enables organisations to deliver control over social media features and communications for both users on the corporate network and for those situated remotely.

Socialite enables control for 95 distinct activity and content features in Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and also enables to moderate and archive content shared on social networks to ensure that only pre-approved content is shared.

FaceTime CEO Kailash Ambwani said that Socialite offers comprehensive control and management over the wide variety of social media channels, integrating with existing IT infrastructures.

Socialite establishes a single corporate identity, tracks users across multiple social media platforms, and prevents data from leaving the company, either maliciously or inadvertently, FaceTime said.

The offering enables access to Facebook and its thousands of 'applets' by category or individual application.

It can capture all posts, messages and commentary made to Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter in context, as well as expor to an archive of choice for eDiscovery.

Socialite is available as a software-as-a-service deployment (SaaS) or as an on-premises offering as a module of FaceTime's Unified Security Gateway.
